There are plenty of ways to join in…

If you are a School or ECE Centre…

Some ways to get involved…

  • Hold a dress in green day for gold coin donation! This is the only time we ever ask schools for money. Everything we do for schools and ECE centres is free.

  • Take on environmental projects during the week.
This could be a rubbish pick up, weeding session, planting day, conservation construction project, or pick an unloved spot at your school or near your school and give it some TLC!

  • Connect with nature for the day!
Bush kindergarten or bush school, bird counts, bug hunts, nature art, a local bush walk, or a nature scavenger hunt

  • Check out our online nature classroom or nature connectors for cool activities to do on the day

  • Come along to the Arbor Day Community Planting Event along Tauhara Road (alongside the back of the golf course).  There will be free food and lots of free environmental education activities run by conservation experts. To bring a group, obtain RAMs (Risk Assessment Method strategy), and other details please RSVP with Heidi@greeningtaupo.org.nz

  • Another option is to plant some trees at your own school as a way to participate!
